A Guided Forest therapy experience combines ancient wisdom and modern science to significantly improve our physicial and mental wellbeing. Scientifically proven to lower blood pressure, reduce the stress hormone (cortisol) in the body, reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety, improve cognition, increase feelings of happiness, boost the immune system and improve our overall sense of wellbeing.
There is no strenuous hiking and we will not be identifying flora and fauna. Suitable for all fitness levels, forest therapy is a slow, intentional practice, we focus on the breath, gentle movement, meditation and a mix of sensory and creative activities. Each nature based activity builds on the next to support your process of slowing down and letting go. During this shorter session we will cover approx 1km over 90mins and close the session with a Japanese inspired tea ceremony and light refreshements.
As a certified Forest Therapy Guide with the International Nature and Forest Therapy (INFTA) and a 15yr background in Social Work and Mental Health Services you can rest assured your guide has a depth of knowledge and skills needed to support your path to relaxation and rejuvenation.
